These scenarios are not intended as recommendations but to provide examples of reasonable, balanced tree risk management strategies based on balancing the benefits and the risks when making decisions.

The strategies are considered to be reasonable in the particular circumstances described. However, each situation will be unique and the indicative examples of reasonable decisions illustrated in these scenarios, such as management structures, personnel and frequency of inspections, are not intended to be prescriptive for a particular type of duty holder. All those responsible for trees must assess their own situation.
